While we have an eye on the globe, how about expanding your knowledge of world affairs even further with a site Newseum is a celebration of the news from all around the world. I have to say it is the first site I have seen of its kind that actually looks inviting to browse.
As well as being a celebration of the news and freedom of speech, it is also an amazing database of facts and articles about the events that have shaped and are shaping our world.
Navigation is logical, and the pages open up super fast considering the amount of images and graphics in them.
Rolling over the thumbnails at the top of the home page will reveal a snapshot and a brief description of the feature.
Alternatively you can use the main subject heading below to browse a particular section.
I strongly recommend "Today's Front Pages", a section updated daily with front page news from around the world.
You will need pop-ups enabled to click a page for a more detailed look, and you can choose to browse by region or alphabetically.
The map view is a brilliant idea for those of you that did not have time to look at the Worldatlas website yet.
The exhibits in the Cyber Newseum, which is most easily accessed by the link in the right-hand panel, are also well worth a look.
In fact the whole website is brilliantly presented and bursting at the seams with information.

after loads of searching on the net i finally found one site where i can get it with no strings attatched...
bradley.edu gives free versions of IE 5.5 and 6.0 for all win9x

Ppl, come alive, Yahoo on Thursday rolled out a beta version of a new service called PhotoMail, which will allow users to put up to 300 pictures in a single e-mail and provides unlimited storage space for users.
Since only thumbnails of the pictures are sent in the actual e-mail, there is little chance that an e-mail would be rejected due to size limitations of incoming e-mail. Each thumbnail is only about five kilobytes. The larger versions of the pictures would reside on Yahoo's servers.
